Blueprint (2019)
Blueprint develops from the processes used in the Betwixt works, where light passing through old picture-book pages allows separate printed images to merge into singular composite forms. In this series, the images are transformed into large-scale cyanotypes, shifting the warm tones of the original paper into deep blues and pale whites.
The cyanotype process alters the atmosphere and spatial structure of the image, producing dense fields in which forms and image traces collapse into one another.
